- Fast (Real-ESRGAN) offers the best speed-to-quality ratio for general content. Quality (HAT) uses a transformer architecture for the sharpest possible details but is 3-5x slower. Anime is specifically trained on anime/cartoon content for the best results on that style.
- Can I upscale 720p to 4K?
- Yes! Use 4x scale to go from 720p (1280x720) to near-4K (5120x2880). For 1080p to 4K, use 2x scale.
- How long does video upscaling take?
- With parallel GPU processing, a 1-minute 720p video takes about 5-10 minutes depending on the model. Quality (HAT) is 3-5x slower than Fast.
