1. Overview

EditClips.online ("the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Browser-Based Processing

When you use our free tools, all file processing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see, access, or store any files you process in browser mode. This is a core principle of the Service.

3. Server-Side Processing (Pro)

If you use the Pro server-side processing feature, your files are temporarily uploaded to our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) for processing. Files are automatically deleted after processing is complete. We do not access, review, or use the content of your files for any purpose other than performing the requested processing operation.

4. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. This information is used to authenticate you, manage your account, and send transactional emails (such as password reset requests and account notifications).

5. Payment Data

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number or other payment method details. Paddle handles all payment processing and may collect additional information as described in their privacy policy.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in when you have an account. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — Hosting, CDN, DNS, and cloud storage (R2) for server-side processing
• Paddle — Payment processing and subscription management
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (password resets, account notifications)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

8. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Files uploaded for server-side processing are automatically deleted after processing is complete. Processing history records (tool used, file sizes, timestamps) are retained to display in your dashboard but do not include the actual file content.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Delete your account and associated data from your account settings
• Request a copy of your data

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
