Ringtone Maker

Make a custom ringtone from any song or audio clip. Trim the part you want, fade the edges, and export M4R for iPhone or MP3 for Android — free, in your browser.

A ringtone maker trims a short section of a song (up to 40 seconds) and exports it in the right format for your phone — M4R for iPhone, MP3 for Android. EditClips.online does this free in your browser: upload the track, set the start time and length, optionally fade the edges, and download. For iPhone, drop the .m4r into Finder/iTunes or GarageBand to set it as your ringtone.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a ringtone for my iPhone?
Upload a song, set the start time and a length up to 40 seconds, choose M4R, and download. Then add the .m4r file to your iPhone via Finder/iTunes (or GarageBand) and pick it under Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone.
What format do Android ringtones use?
Android uses MP3 (among others). Choose MP3, download the clip, and set it as your ringtone in your phone's Sound settings or copy it into the Ringtones folder.
Why is the ringtone limited to 40 seconds?
iPhone ringtones must be 40 seconds or shorter or they won't install. We cap the clip at 40s so it always works on both iPhone and Android.
Is the ringtone maker free?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up, and no watermark. The MP3 path runs entirely in your browser.
