Frequently Asked Questions

How many frames will I get?
In interval mode, you get one frame per interval. For a 60-second video at 1-second intervals, that's 60 frames. In 'All frames' mode, a 30fps video produces 30 frames per second โ€” use this only for short clips.
Should I use PNG or JPEG for extracted frames?
PNG is lossless and best for editing, compositing, or when you need pixel-perfect frames. JPEG is much smaller and works well when you just need reference images or thumbnails.
Can I extract frames from a specific section of the video?
This tool extracts from the entire video. To extract frames from a specific section, first trim your video with the Cut Video tool, then use the trimmed clip here.
