- The tool runs two passes. The first pass analyzes camera motion at every frame using LightStab AI, building a per-frame transform matrix. The second pass warps each frame at full resolution to cancel out the detected shake, producing a smooth, gimbal-like result. Unlike older stabilizers that downsample first, the full-res warp preserves the sharpness of your original footage.

- Will stabilization crop my video?
- Yes, slightly. Stabilization shifts each frame to cancel shake, which can expose black borders. The tool zooms in just enough to hide them — Low strength crops ~3%, Medium ~5%, High ~10%. Pre-cropping in tight shots can lose subject corners, so shoot wider than you need if you plan to stabilize.
