- Is pixelation reversible?
- No. Pixelation is a destructive operation — the original pixel values are replaced by averaged blocks, so identifying features can't be recovered from the output.
- Pixelate vs blur — which is better for privacy?
- For privacy both are equivalent at strong settings. Pixelation looks more clinical / 'censored', blur looks more natural. Pick whichever fits the look you want.
- What if the AI misses a face?
- Our AI catches almost every clearly-visible face. Profile shots, very small faces (<32px), or heavily-occluded faces may be missed — for those, the brush-based generative fill tool is a good fallback.
- Does it work on videos?
- Use /tools/blur-faces-in-video for the video version — same detection logic tracked across every frame.
