Frequently Asked Questions
- Why does my D-Log footage look gray and washed out?
- D-Log is a logarithmic picture profile: it compresses the scene's dynamic range into a flat image to preserve highlight and shadow detail. It's meant to be graded afterwards — the conversion LUT is what restores normal contrast and color.
- Does this work for D-Log M?
- D-Log M is a different curve than full D-Log. The Universal flat-log LUT in the library handles it well, or upload DJI's official D-Log M .cube for an exact conversion.
- Should I shoot in D-Log?
- If you plan to grade, yes — you keep far more highlight detail in skies and shadows. If you want footage that's ready straight out of camera, the Normal profile is easier. This tool makes D-Log painless either way.
