- A LUT (Look-Up Table) is a small file that remaps every color in your footage to a new value. Camera makers publish LUTs to convert flat log footage into standard color, and colorists share creative LUTs to give videos a specific mood or film look.
- Can I convert DJI D-Log or D-Log M footage?
- Yes — that's one of the main uses. Pick a log-to-Rec.709 conversion LUT for your camera profile from the library (or upload the official one from your camera maker), and the flat, washed-out log footage comes out with normal contrast and color.
- Which LUT formats are supported?
- The standard .cube format (exported by virtually every grading and editing app) and .3dl. Both 33-point and 65-point 3D LUTs work, applied with tetrahedral interpolation for smooth gradients.
- Is quality lost when applying a LUT?
- The LUT itself is a lossless color transform — every frame is remapped with tetrahedral interpolation, the highest-quality method. The video is then re-encoded, and you control that quality with the encoding quality option.
- Where can I get free LUTs?
- The built-in LUT library includes free creative looks (teal & orange, film emulations, black & white, vintage) and log conversion LUTs — all usable without downloading anything. You can also import .cube files from any LUT pack you own.
