- At 30fps playback, yes — it's the same effect pros use with Phantom Flex cameras. At 240fps native playback (requires a 240Hz display), it looks unnaturally smooth. The 240fps file is most useful as an intermediate step for slow-mo editing.
- How long does 240fps conversion take?
- Because the AI has to generate 7 new frames between each existing frame (8× multiplier), it's 2-3× slower than 60fps conversion. A 30-second clip typically takes 2-3 minutes on our GPU. Use it for short clips you want to slow dramatically.
- Is there a better way than converting to 240fps first?
- If you already have a 60fps or 120fps source, converting to 240fps from there is cheaper and higher quality (fewer frames to generate). If your source is 24fps or 30fps, our AI handles the 8-10× ratio well — but if motion is very fast, you may see occasional artifacts.
